The talented, pseudonymous man playing the banjo and accordion is also known to hundreds as the man who literally wrote The Book on digital color correction, Pete Rivard.
He also played in a terrific group called Rivertown Rats whose songs "Into the West" and "C'mon Lizzie" survive in the MS7's repertoire. The Rats' "Blue Sundress" disc is essential listening for any fan of great songwriting. I am not sure where you can get it nowadays. A bit more information on Pete is here.
